I'm not sure why, but my laptop won't power up. Any thoughts? Should I buy a new battery or get a new ac adapter? Any help would be greatly apprecited!!!
I think my 3004 over heated when I left it on a leather chair.
When I press the on button, an orange light in the front of the unit flashes six times. The computer does nothing.

The first thing you must must check if the AC Adapter is working, because, even if the battery is bad the AC Adapter must allow the notebook to turn on. Check if there is any light turned on on the AC Adapter. Now, there can be several other reasons why the notebook is not powering up - - A bad hard drive. You can remove the hard drive and then try turning on the notebook - Bad RAM. Again the RAM can be removed and check if the notebook powers up We can have several other reasons why the notebook is not turning on. Those are just some general issues and common resolutions Please revert back with further observations.
