My printer doesnt shup off at all.it dont let me print, and it keep saying cover open.i been having this problem for a while what do i do?
Try opening the cover make sure the cover switch is not damaged. Also try powering the unit down and pull out the power supply cord that goes in the unit in the back. It should be a square retangle box that slips into a power port. Try removing it completly from the unit and inspect the power jack on the printer to make sure its not damaged. Also if its not damaged reconnect while the the printer cover is open turn power back on then close the door. Outside of that I would recommend checking with Dell at Technical Support 1-800-624-9896 to see if they have any product updates on it.
