Sound driver for vista

If you are running Windows Vista,
and you have the soundmax AD1888 Chipset,
you have no sound in Vista . . . relax, this problem is common.

Try the following soundmax AD1888 Drivers in this torrent.

You will find 2 maps in the downloaded file.
1) Use the swsetup, there is a setup.exe in it, install, then reboot your pc. You should have sound now.

2) If this does not correct your problem,, update your driver using device manager,
with the other map (Vista-Driver-Vista)

There is no official driver for mustek 1200 for vista, due to it's age, but you can try installing the one intended for XP from: http://www.mustek.com.tw/Download/driv_scanr/europe/1200ed.html .

As far as I know, you don't need special drivers for HP Deskjet printers in vista, due to system having integrated drivers. You need to have a Vista driver installed  for your sound  sound. Below is the web site that lists all of the products that have Vista drivers available for them. I coudl not find you product but maybe you wil have better luck. If not maybe the only answer woudl be to  buy a different sound card with the Vista driver for it.

Unfortunately ASUS has not written drivers specifically for Vista.

It could be that the sound chipset is INCOMPATABLE with Vista.

But before you give up try Win XP's and Win 2000's driver (They do share SOME architecture with Vista and just might work.

If that fails you can type in your soundcards name (Soundmax) and "Drivers" into your preferred search engine and see if someone has written a third party driver for it.

If this fails, I'm sorry to say it looks like your options are limited.
1.) Get anew sound card. There are some very affordable ones on the market

or

2.) Give up on Vista and put your previous Windows back on

Is this an OEM install of Vista or an upgrade. Several legacy sound cards, especially the integrated Realtek cards have had compatibility issues with Vista. Some of these can be resolved with a firmware update, some can't.

it is a problem with sound Drivers.
You need to download / install the sound drivers which are comfortable with your motherboard configuration in Vista
Also please note most of the motherboards supports Realtek Sound drivers

you have laod sp2 .sp3 is no sound it is some problem in sp3 ..........

There only drivers written for
SoundMAX Audio Driver version 5.12.01.3663 WHQL driver for Windows 98SE,ME,2000,XP
No VISTA yet.

You can call ASUS and ask them if they are planning to write them,or pick up a new sound card that will be compatible with VISTA.
