Question about Fisher DS603W / DS603B / DS603I Dishwasher

Fisher and Paykel DS603 no power

Hi, Having trouble with our dish drawer. Nothing on the display. Can't get it to turn on. It turned off last night half way through a cycle. I have 2 dishdraws and swapped the main PCB (behind the front panel), power PCB in the rear behind the drawer, LCD screen/buttons all with no change. I have metered the wiring going from the power PCB to the main controller and that all seems intact. Definetely power to the rear power board (tested with multimeter). I am puzzled as I have the service manual and have fixed these unreliable machines a few times already. Any idea's? Thanks in Advance

Hi,

There is a thermo fuse in this unit and it can cause the controller not to power up. It is located on the heater plate, if the unit got too hot this will cause this fuse to blow and cause not power to the controller to a singe drawer unit only, this would not shut down both drawer though. This fuse is not replaceable other than replacing the plate itself. Get back to me if you need part numbers and I can get them for you or you can call Fisher and Pakel directly and they are 24 hours a day service call center. The plate is tricky to replace and you will have to change both seals at the same time, not real pricey though.

I hope this helps, keep the unit, its a good dishwasher.. Good Luck

SOURCE: i have a Fisher and Paykel Dish Drawer dishwasher.

it is likely the lid seal is stuck. You will have to get the drawer out and check the underside of the cabinet at the top.

The lid seal is a rubber lining which is actuated by a pair of motors. If the motors are faulty or the power is to the motors is lost, then the seal will not go up to let the drawer sit properly.;

Top half of my dish washer beeps when i push the power button

you will find this diagnostic service document useful.

The likely reason for top drawer not starting wash program when you press start button is the drawer home sensor is either faulty or the drawer is misaligned. This means controller thinks the drawer is open and does not start the cycle.

The top dishwasher of my Fisher&paykel Paykel DDd603 &DS603 model ontinuallly beeps. I tried unplugging the power for several hours and it still beeps. Any recommendations ??

Assuming the bottom dishdrawer is working ok, it is likely the controller on the top drawer is either faulty or sensing some incorrect signal. If pressing any of the panel buttons makes no difference, then most likely the controller is faulty.

By the way I am unclear why you mention two models in your problem description. DD603 is a double drawer dishwasher and DS603 is a single drawer unit.

F1 error on Fisher and Paykel Dish Drawer

Sorry did not see your problem report earlier. If you have checked the sensor under the bottom drawer and it is dry, then F1 is caused by top drawer power filter fault. This means the bottom drawer controller is giving the F1 error but the top drawer controller has no power. Can you confirm this.

Flood switch will not reset

The lid seal is damaged and it lets water go through and collect on the flood switch which may be triggering F1.

You will have to replace the lid seal. It is item 8 on page 14 of this diagram.

F1 in F&P 2 drawer dishwasher

You will need to be a bit more specific when you say "no flood".

Are you having this F1 fault in one or both drawers?

What did the engineer do when he was there last time?

Does the F1 code flash with beeps?

What happens when you turn the mains power off and on after a short delay?

Please provide the actual model number of your fisher and paykel 2 drawer dishwasher.

"F1" Flashing on Control Panel on my Fisher Paykel Dish drawer DS603. User manual says Flood switch has been activated and to call Authorized Service. Can I fix it instead myself? If so, how?

Thanks - your expert pointed me in the right direction. Never found a leak, but I dried up the water in the tray, which may have been from condensation, and dishwasher seems to work fine now.

Fisher Paykel dishwasher drawer won't stop.

Let's go to diagnostic test mode to see if you can retrieve the the actuator hence the tube out.
1- Press Lock button and start/pause key until the display showing up.
2- Press Power to show HO.
3- Press start button to advance the display until you see P2 for draining, if you pass, keep doing it to get it back in a loop.
4- When at P2, press lock to turn on, press a again to turn off.
5- Listen to the sound of the pump. If you hear nothing that means the pump is dead or stuck.
6- The Motor has 2 directions: one for, Rinse and one for Drain. When you done with the diagnostic, press the power button to get out of the mode.
7- If this is the case, unplug the power then remove the rack, the bottom stanless steel plate with holes then take out the rotor to clean up. It is a good design the stator is outside of the tube, so you don't have to worry too much about the complication.
8- Make a note of all the positions so you can put them back the same as they were. Good luck

Bosch dishwasher lights turn off when running, but are on again when door opens SHV46C03UC/21 I replaced the control board with new OEM board last week, because heater relay was blown. Dishwasher now works fine and runs normal length of time. For this family of dishwashers, the buttons and red lights are on top of the door Bosch SHV46C family; full model name shown above. A thing I noticed is that the red wash indicator lights now turn off when I close the door and start DW running. When finished, no lights are on either. BUT, when I open the door at end the proper lights turn on again indicating dishes are clean and cycle that was selected. So, indicator lights are correct except they all turn off when DW running and door closed. With the original board, the indicator lights would stay on when running and I could see them. 1. Is this some change to the latest board that I just have to learn to live with? This DW was made ~19 years ago. 2. Or, is there a way I needed to program the replacement control board I installed to this specific model? Regarding #2, I'm asking this because I have read that some control boards need to be programmed to the certain Bosch model, but I'm not sure if this one needs it. I ran test mode for original and new board, and I think this new board passed because it did not show any error code with a solid indicator light, though one indicator light was flashing which I think just meant it was still in test mode until I powered it off. Thanks, Chris
