Pretty much what it sounds like, the thermometer in the freezing chamber (barrel) died, and you can't operate until it is replaced. Drain all yogurt and clean and unplug. You need to call a technician out; call 800.255.0626 to find out your local service center.

We have a Taylor 754-27 ice cream machine. Worked fine. Changed out all gaskets, seals o- rings. Left side now will freeze in the tub, but will not freeze in the barrel. Any ideas.

If the left side of your Taylor 754-27 ice cream machine is freezing in the tub but not in the barrel, there could be a few potential issues to consider. Here are some possible causes and troubleshooting steps:
1. Insufficient refrigerant flow: Check if the refrigerant flow is restricted or inadequate, which can prevent proper freezing in the barrel. Ensure that the refrigerant lines and valves are clear and not blocked or clogged. You may need to clean or replace any filters or strainers in the refrigerant system.
2. Temperature control malfunction: Verify that the temperature control settings are correct for the barrel freezing process. The control thermostat may be faulty and need replacement. Check the temperature sensor and wiring connections to ensure they are in good condition.
3. Insulation problems: Examine the insulation surrounding the barrel to ensure it is intact and properly insulating. Insufficient insulation can lead to the barrel not freezing as expected. If the insulation is damaged, replace it with appropriate insulation materials.
4. Barrel motor or drive system issues: If the barrel is not rotating properly, it may result in inadequate freezing. Check the motor and drive components responsible for rotating the barrel. Look for any signs of wear or damage and ensure they are functioning correctly. Lubricate the drive system if necessary.
5. Refrigeration system malfunction: A problem with the compressor, condenser, or evaporator can impact the freezing process. Inspect these components for any signs of malfunction, such as unusual noises, leaks, or inadequate cooling. If any issues are found, it is advisable to contact a professional refrigeration technician for repair or servicing.
6. Improper assembly or installation: Double-check the gaskets, seals, and o-rings that were replaced during maintenance. Ensure they are properly installed and creating a tight seal. Any gaps or leaks in these components can affect freezing performance.
If you have attempted these troubleshooting steps and the issue persists, it is recommended to contact a professional technician who specializes in Taylor ice cream machines. They will have the expertise to diagnose and repair the specific problem with your equipment.

WHAT IT MEANS R-HPR THERMAL FAIL FOR TAYLOR ICE CREAM MACHINE MODEL C713

That code means the right side hopper thermistor probe has failed. That is the sensor that reads the temperature of product in the mix hopper.

This is the part you need:

On the soft Serve side of my Taylor ice cream machine it is freezing up and not letting any product come out pump still works don't know what the problem is I take everything apart clean it put it back...

if the product is frozen in the barrle for sure then you have a bad micro switch that is telling the compressor to keep running, but that product would be super frozen and come out in the shape of the barrel. if it is the consistancy of ice cream then your pump gasket might be bad and not properly pressurizing your barrel and giving you the impression of a frozen barrel.

Chocolate ice cream has turned a funny color and that side is running loudly

A grey color often indicates the beater bar is grinding on the inside of the barrel. What you may be seeing is metal. Be sure your beater bar is not bent. Visually inspect the inside of the barrel for marks. Wear is not normal. If you see wear and the beater bar is not bent, be sure all plastic bearings and components are installed. Also, it is normal to have some drip and lube in the drip pans, excessive amounts usually indicate problems though. Hope this helps you.

Put a new motor in the left side, but when you try to run it, it keeps tripping the reset button and turning off. The left side controls the hopper cooler, so I come in and the hopper is warm on both...

Did you check the wiring ? This motor is reversible and you may not have the wires under the connection plate. A model number would be very helpful as I am looking at model # 339 manual.http://www.taylorfreezersales.com/op_man/0336_338_339op0.pdf

Taylor Y754-27 Soft Serve Ice cream machine

Gearboxes definitely go bad. The first sign is usually noise, I would describe it as a rumbling. The best way to determine if it's the gear box is:
1. empty and disconnect machine from power.
2. remove the freezer door and beater assembly
2. remove the rear panel - 4 screws
3. Remove the belts on the noisy side
4. Spin the big pulley and listen for the noise, you may want to remove the belts on the quiet side to compare the two.
I have a video that was shot to help change the hex coupler, but you would follow all of the same steps to replace the gear box.

My barrel on my white mountian ice cream is leaking from the seams of the wood. it is only one year. its not allowing the brime to come from weep hole

The wood will shrink when it is dry. It will swell up and close the seams if kept wet. Place the barrel in a container and fill with water inside and out to get the seams to swell and close before you use the freezer to make ice cream.
