Wireless problem i have just reinstalled xp prof on my acer travelmate 2410, but cannot connect wireless anymore, can you help?

You can install and configure the wireless lan very easily, First of all you require to download the driver for your Acer Travelmate 2410 by below mentioned link
Wireless LAN Driver (Approx 12 MB)

when you download the driver simply right click and extract to the folder, now run the setup and it will install the wlan Drivers automatically, when the drivers are installed reboot the system once so they will run properly, now you will notice one new wireless icon in taskbar along with clock , simply click on the icon and it will show you all the available wireless networks in your area, click to choose your desired network (might require passkey if its secure) and you will be able to access internet/network with wireless connectivity

If you didn't install a DVD player application, then yes you missed something. There will be a button to start up or power on the wireless device. so switch it on then it will start detecting the wireless hardware for driver installation.

Uninstalled all the driver you have right now

Try finding the model # of your wireless card and find the specific driver for it, It would resolve the problem

How did you connect before? You will need to reinstall the network on the laptop. Make sure drivers for wirless card are installed and it is detecting network.

the wireless switch isnt actually a switch. its the same as on the travelmate 2410 i think.which means its a little button on the front. but if that doesnt work
you could always activate it from inside the network connections bit on control panel.

you are having an lcd experience of the 3rd kind..i'd venture to say your in for a replacement event.

Delete your existing wireless connection and then run the wireless connection setup wizard.That would work up .this is a fast and saves your time without dilly-dallying anywhere.

have you got any anti virus software installed ?these are notorious for blocking youre emails.about the wireless network there are loads of ways to geton .if you dont give a shit about losing saved stuff theres a real easy way.regarding disk ;you can put any disk as long as its the same system of course;say if you have xp and you lose it you can use youre mates xp disk as long as you have the key.
Im using xp pro (lost key)with a hack key to install.hack prog to register.wireless network through hot spot.cos I do not have a landline.my moto ....if it can be done ,do it
