Question about Pinnacle Dazzle DVD Recorder

1 Answer

Dazzle DVD recorder software does not save my video properly

I just bought Dazzle DVD Recorder HD with HD Studio 14 software. While the video converter box works great, HD studio software is among the most faulty movie maker software I've ever seen. First off, the software won't recognize my dazzle video capture device. I use it with windows movie maker and it works just fine. Two when I import videos into HD studio I recorded on Windows Movies Maker, I can edit and add all kinds of great movie effects. But when I save the project as a file, (for example saving it so I can watch it on my iphone) the software stops halfway into the saving process, and I'm required to force shutdown HD studio. I'm running a fairly powerful computer, so I shouldn't be having this trouble. Trying to figure out if adjusting settings will help, or if I just need to get a refund.

You don't say where you are trying to save it to. Try saving it to the default location on you desktop hard drive and then transfer it to your phone.

SOURCE: Dazzle audio problem

Very common problem with their software - they try to force you to purchase better stuff. For starters, try Corell Video Studio to see if it works better - it has a free 30 day trial period. I use it, and find that it is among the better packages to use.

I have my dazzle connected properly but when i go into windows movie maker it records the sound of my television but there is no picture?

Hi and Welcome to Fixya,

Did you mean you are recording video and audio using your Television set? I'm afraid that dazzle is not design to used if for capturing or even capturing using Windows Movie maker. Because dazzle device is design to used for Pinnacle Studio program and Instant DVD recorder program only, It is not supported to used for both of them. That is the reason why there is no Picture while recording.

I have seen that before with Dazzle. See if there is an update to take care of that. I tossed that software package and went with Studio, which is much better - that is also a Pinnacle product.

Video freezes on dazzle dvd recorder operating on win vista.

Hi,

I suggest to you to uninstall your Instant DVD recorder program and then download and install this update version http://pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/Home+Video/Studio+Plug-Ins/Instant+DVD+Recorder+Support/Download+Area/Drivers+-+Updates/IDVDR261.htm?mode=documents&Display=1

Checked also if your vista is 32 bit then download under 32 bit but if that is 64 bit then download for 64bit. Try again.

Pinnale Dazzle DVD recorder doesn't recognize VCR

On the start up of the instant DVD recorder program, you can either use the "let the wizard guide you" or "advance mode"

1. Select source:
you should select the options:

Video standard NTSC (Because this is the default in our region)
Video composite - if you are using RCA (red, yellow and white cables)
S-video - if you are using the cable with several pins in it.

2. Select Burner
You should select the options:
Hard disc folder - if you will be saving the content in your hard drive, the format of this files are DVD such as VOB and IFO etc.
TSST - _ _ _ _ - if you will selecting your DVD drive.

(If you have selected your DVD Burner and you cannot click "next" to proceed to the Third option,
this means that your DVD drive is not able to burn a DVD)

3. Select menus
It must be NO

4. Recording
select total recording time (make sure that dazzle is selected in the "select source" to set the total recording time)
