My Touch Screen Has A Blank Spot

I have I Nintendo DS Lite and its just over a year old and in really good condition. I haven't dropped it or gotten it wet or anything. I do leave it in the car overnight sometimes. Just yesterday I was at my cousin's house and we played for a while and then set them down. There was alot of running around, so I guess it could have been stepped on but it shows no damage. About 2 hrs. later, I turned it on and the top right quarter of the touchscreen was white. It's not broken because if you tap the screen there it will respond. I have tried it with and without games. Please help.

I just called the Nintendo company and mine was in warranty so they will fix it or replace it for free.

I had that issue also.
I opened the DS, and I saw that a connector was not attached to the mainboard. I connected it, and the problem was solved.

Be careful opening the DS.

The touch screen is not as sensitive as it should be - when I use the ds pen in some spots, particularly on the right side of the touch screen, it doesn't always work...

DS fixing solution = NONE: Your DS is old and should be treated more gently. DSLITE: it has gotten to worn out. turn it off for 5-10 days at dry again.

Ds lite dropped while open, touchscreen now white.

With white screens it usually the LCD that went out, since D.S. do not have a reset button, the only way to reset it to Factory settings would be to remove that battery, and you would need to remove the little screws on the back. I would leave that last. However if you guys have had this DS for less than a year i would contact Nintendo, or go to the website
because you would still be under the one year Manufactures warranty. I would highly recommend to not state it was dropped. Just that the screen went blank all of a sudden. Touch screen works fine. Make sure there is no physical damage though, as that usually voids warranty. I had to do that for my Wii. No cost to me since under one year. If its been longer then the year then you could do the hard reset by removing the batter for a few mins.
Good Luck!

Touch Screen Cracked

Best if you call Nintendo to fix it,though I think they might charge you money and I'm not really sure whats the amount.but its best to just call nintendo than to buy another one.

My Nintendo DS top screen is blank white and is not working

It's a poor connection to your top screen that's your problem, the issue is either that the conection is loose that holds the top screen ribbon cable to the board or that the ribbon cable to the top screen is damaged and will require replacing
