Clock setting not saving

I have just bought this camera but I cannot seem to get the clock to save. Every time i turn the camera on it asks me to set the clock. Sometimes the clock even resets when the camera is turned on. I am certain I am following the instructions correctly in setting the clock. This problem is very annoying as i do not want to have to return camera. I would be very grateful for any solutions somebody can give me...

This link will give you the user instruction manual for your camera; http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/vProdSupportModel?displayTab=R&surfModel=DMC-FX8K&modelNo=DMC-FX8K&storeId=15001&catalogId=11017&itemId=94211&displayServiceCenter=false# Page 19 describes the clock setting procedure - first check that you are doing everything as described, especially the "press menu button 2 times after finishing the setting" If you still have no luck, then unfortunately there is a problem with the internal clock/settings battery/cell, which should normally charge from the main battery enough for 3 months - on this camera, the internal battery is not a user replaceable item, but your warranty should allow you to get it replaced free. Sorry if bad news, hope it helps :)

Dozens of models to choose from. All questions on Fixya need 'make model (what it is)' as the first 3 words.

Here are some guesses. The 'control cover' is where you put the back-up battery.

To change the 12/24 hour time format, open the CONTROL COMPARTMENT COVER on the bottom of the clock and adjust the 12/24 TIME FORMAT switch to the desired format .

FFCM1155US manual clock set instructions do not work. Pressed Clock button. Pressed in time. Pressed START. When I press start the display goes black. Tried pressing clock button again but time doesn’t...

Is your oven in power save mode? Does oP-4 scroll across the display? The power save mode turns off the time of day clock display according to page 17 of the user manual. If power save is turned on to turn it off press the clock/options 4 times (if op-4 appears in the display then press clock/options 4 more times to turn off power save mode. Then you should be able to set the time of day clock by pressing clock/options ONCE enter the time and press start. Hope this helps.

I can not set the clock on my i river reader it keeps going back an hour after i set it help please

Do you have your PC set to automatically adjust for daylight savings? If so, try turning that off and setting your clock forward one hour manually. Although it seems that this would cause your clock to be one hour behind if the setting software isn't adjusting the clock setting for savings time.

You must connect the antenna or cable before connecting

After the clock is set automatically, you may have to set
the time zone and daylight saving time. (See page 26.)
Press STANDBY/ON to turn on the DVD/VCR after the

the list below.
Selectable time zones and correction times
ATLANTIC: GMT – 4 hours
(GMT: Greenwich Mean Time)

correct the clock by selecting your time zone
setting above.
• When the clock is not set or you set the clock
manually, the time zone setting is not available.
DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME
You can set the clock to daylight saving time automatically
or manually.
To select daylight saving time, select “DAYLIGHT
SAVING TIME” and select “ON”, while to cancel the
daylight saving time, select “OFF”.
ON: For manual setting (forward 1 hour)
OFF: For manual setting (back 1 hour)

the signal)
Note
• When you want to set daylight saving time, on the

last Sunday in October you set it to “OFF”.
• When shipped from the factory, the “DAYLIGHT

• When the clock is not set, the daylight saving time
setting is not available.
• When there is no daylight saving time in your area,
always select “OFF”.

Turning daylight saving time OFF

If DST is *already* set to "on" when you reset the time zone to Z-07 (Hawaii), my very recent experience is that the time *still gets adjusted back* by one hour.  Now that daylight savings time is over (at least according to the clock's pre-programmed and outdated schedule) I'm hoping that setting the time zone to Z-07 (Hawaii) will completely cancel the automatic time changes from now on.  Otherwise, I need to purchase another clock, and it won't be a Timex.
