My Hotpoint WD63 is having troubles! I recently cleaned out the filters and now it will not fill with water. I can hear the water trickling into the soap dispenser and it does try and fill, but, the majority of the water ends up down the drain. I have tried it on spin only and I've boil washed but both have had no effect! Help, I have 2 children and a dirty husband!!!

Re: Not Filling with water
Suggest you have a look at where your drain hose is going. The highest point in the hose needs to be higher than the "minimum drainage hose height" line marked on the back of the machine.
Washing machines don't have valves to keep the water in - they simply rely on the pump pushing water over the hump in the hose when you want to empty them, and the water not being able to climb the hill on its own the rest of the time.

You have been ill advised, there is a filter that you can clean.
Remove rear panel of washer.
Remove large black hose fastened to bottom of drum.
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Remove top cover., check the hose from dispenser to drum is not blocked with powder..
If the dispenser drawer still fills up, then it is possible that the condenser is blocked with fluff.
This a major job to put right, you would be well advised to call an engineer if this is the case.
Hope this helps.
Could be a sticking water level switch, which controls the water level, or a blockage in the hose to the switch, or a trapped or split hose to the switch. the hose in question is about 6mm in diam, and goes from the sump hose to the pressure switch,if u remove the hose from the preesure switch chamber, check for a blockage there, and blow down the hose to see if it is clear, u should hear the switch click if it is clear, if no click and hose is clear, then I wud say the switch is faulty.
Plz rate my comments.
Chances are it is the filter that is blocked, you must remove it completely to check,
Pull ******* the filter to remove it,at worst you may have to break the filter to get it out, it would just mean replacing it with a new one.
Plz rate my solution.
Sounds like water pressure could be low or inlet pipe is kinked.
F04: possible filling or water level problem. Check water inlet pipe (or shut-off valve), or the outlet pipe, or the pump or pump filter if accessible (check for blockages or foreign objects). Also could be the water valve solenoid weak, causing filling to be too slow.
F05: possible draining (pumping off) problem, check the pump filter, or pump, outlet pipe, or U-BEND.
