Timex t42331 night mode is causing my stop watch to hang up and not work properly

When I press the crown to activate the 3 second indiglo Night mode, my cronograph will not work when activated.(it hangs up) I have to set the backlight to normal and reset the crono for it to work properly. It works fine when the crown is not pushed for night mode.

SOURCE: Timex IndiGlo Ironman Triathlon - bell stopped working

You have lost the coilspring wich connects the watch mechanics with the speaker integrated in watch caseback. This is why you do not hear any sound but still can see the icon.
Check the area where you made the battery replacement very carefully- you may find that tiny spring. Use the magnet if necessary.
If you can not find it, go to the nearest watchmakers shop and ask to supply the new coilspring.
Do not forget to rate, please.

How do I set the day & date on my Timex Indiglo watch?

Google shows how.

https://www.leaf.tv/articles/how-to-set-the-date-for-a-timex-expedition-indiglo-watch/
?
?Quoting from the link above:
?
?"The Timex Expedition Indiglo wristwatch tells the time and date, illuminates at the press of a button, and can wake you up at a designated time. Once you receive and adjust your watch to your liking, you might have questions about how to program the date properly. You’ll want to have an accurate watch before wearing and relying on it throughout your day in class, at work or while exercising. You can set the date on your watch with a few simple steps.
Pull the plastic guard from beneath the crown knob (located on the right edge of the watch), and push the crown knob into the watch to start your watch. You will see the second hand begin to advance.
Pull the crown knob out to the middle position to set the day. The crown knob has three positions: “In,” “Middle” and “Out.” Turn the crown knob clockwise to advance the days up, until the current day appears in the window on the right side of the watch face. Turn the knob counterclockwise to move the date down in number. Push the crown knob all the way in to start the watch.
Pull the crown knob completely out, if the day doesn’t change with the knob in the middle position, and cycle the time backward or forward through 24-hour periods until you arrive at the current day. Push the knob in to start the watch.
Pull the crown out to the middle position and adjust your date to the next month for months that have less than 30 days. Your watch will cycle through 31 days every month, so manual adjustments for shorter months are required."

After about two years, my indiglo night light function stopped working. The watch is still working, keeping time. Will changing the battery fix the indiglo problem?

Definitely, battery change will solve the Indiglo light problem. Many of wristwatches has separate battery for Indiglo function, but my advise is to change them both at once - will be cheaper for you.

Eliminate half moon from dial of a Timex Ironman Triathlon watch

You need to hold down the Indiglo button for 4 seconds. The half moon means that night mode is activated, and it will tuirn itself off in 8 hours (which I'm sure you know by know, seeing how it's been 5 years).
