My playstation3 plays every thing in 1080 but when i play blue rays its a clear picture but jumps like it's tring to catch up and it drives me crazy it through the whole movie! any suggestions?

This is blue ray lens failure. this opticalAssembly has two separate reading lenses. there is one designated for Cd audio and CD_ROM reading and, the other is blue ray compatible. the blue ray lens in inoperable at this point. you will need to replace this lens assembly.
Had the same issue. Next It will start doing the same thing with your PS3 games. Your blue-ray/lazer is going out it will quit working soon. Alot of PS3 have bad lazers in them. I replaced mine works great now.
Could be an overheating issue.. Is there enough air circulation around the unit? Is it possibly dusty? try and perform minor servicing (use a can of compressed air incase if there's dust causing problems)
