Question about Hitachi 42EDT41 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television
What can i do when there is no power at coming to the tv, i've tried changing the power cord still nothing not even standby lights comes on
I would have to say you have a dead power supply. You will want to make sure first that the "MAIN" power switch located on the lower left on the rear of the unit is turned on as well. Without that on there will be NO standby light.

that was really great advice being that after i wrote the to get advice i realized that the tv had 2 power buttons thanks
I have pressed my POWER button manually, but no sound or lights responds. I have tried plugging the TV power cord directly into wall outlets that I know work, but still nothing. This TV showed no signs of problems the night before (5 years old).
Sometimes I turn off the TV using the remote control, which only turns off the cable box & sometimes leaves the TV light on (standby light?), but appears to be off because the screen in black. I wonder if I have caused the power supply to go dead sooner by doing this?
I have a 36" Panasonic tv about 5 years old. I think it is the power supply that is dead. I have just called a tv repairman and told him that I think my power supply is dead... he is charging $60 just to come look. I wonder what a repair like this should cost??? any ideas... California resident.
where can I get the T8AH- 250 vlt. fuse.from.
when I turn my tv on nothing happens, when I press standby the blue light comes on so I know power is getting to it,but wheni press on button nothing happens, just a black screen, if I press the channel buttons I can hear it change channel, but screen stays black and no sound.
