Ique 3600 Unit only will turn on when in either the automobile or PC cradle. When taken off the cradle, the unit shuts down and cannot be turned on until it's back in the cradle. Is this a battery problem?? Thx, Greg

This is correct. If you want to use it all the time you will have to get a new battery.

Yes, I believe it's a battery problem, especially if you noticed the lifespan of a full charge on the battery was decreasing prior to this new development. The Li-ion batteries have a limited lifespan and they will take on a shallower and shallower charge over time. In the end, it will refuse to take a charge at all.

Won't turn off or on, wont do anything, is lit up though

Might try a warm reset. Unscrew the plastic top of the stylis. and push it into the reset hole in the back of the unit, remone it from the reset hole, then turn unit back on.

Garmin ique 3600 hot sync issues

I had the same problem. Obtained no help from Garmin - $200 to repair.

I purchased a $7.00 IRDA (infra red) - USB device; set my Connection to IR - PC and have been able to sync without any problems. However even withupdates I have not been able to get the cradle - PC connection to work. This is not a problem however since I now use the IR connection all the time.

You must touch the screen hot sync logo not the cradle button to start the sync process.

Fritzed Unit when antenna up

I have a similar problem but I can't turn the GPS off at all, even when the antenna is down. As far as the power on/off cycle, I found another link on this site that said to turn off WAAS while the GPS is off then when you turn it on the unit will not power cycle continuously. You loose the WAAS feature but the GPS and unit still works.

Ique 3600 can not charge thru cradle and car unit but only thru travel charger, using the pin connector (Green light does not appear when using the main connector on ique 3600, although hot sync and...

Solved:Opened the iQue and used a heated knife to cut horizontally into the + pin and it comes like a U, upside down, from the circuit board, and the exterior side of it was broken. Used tiny plastic and sealant in the hollow space inside the connector and soldered thin copper wire (used for exploding dynamite) from the horizontal part towards the exterior.

Garmin IQUE 3600 unable to HotSync, Windows XP

I think I have solved this problem.

Try this:

Go to my computer, right click -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager.

Locate your IQUE 3600, or Palm.

Now, if your palm has a Yellow Exclamation mark on it, that means that your computer is not recognizing the Palm. Select
Driver details. Re-install the driver off the "Setup CD" that came with your IQUE 3600.

This worked for me.

Good luck!
