Question about Canon PIXMA MP780 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Hello, All of a sudden I can't print from my computer. When I click 'print' nothing pops up, no error message either. I can scan and copy from the Pixma. Yesterday windows did an automatic update, printer hasn't worked right since. It will not bring up the 'troubleshooting' either. It will print a test page however. Please advise. Thank you, Sue
Try uninstalling the update as long as it is not one necessary to new programs. Find the uninstall for it by doind a search in the run menu, and the uninstall file should come up. Follow prompts. Now try printing again. If this fails, you may have to uninstall printer drivers ie go to remove programs, unilnstall printer and all related files. Now reinstall using your original printer canon disk for your operating system. Try printing again.

Isolate to a wall outlet and not a strip.
Remove the cartridges.
Remove the power plug and then reconnect.
Reinstal the cartridges.
Try to do a copy direct from the unit.
NEXT
Print a self test page and check for Yellow or Magenta to rule out a partially empty cartridge.

Working with Windows XP.

Now I can print from wordpad, but not from Outlook express or AOL mailbox unless I selct print preview and print from there. All long as I can print from print preview I can live with that. =)
Thanks.
