Question about Maytag MER5775Q Electric Kitchen Range

Oven won't heat

I have a range that seems to work fine except that it can take 25 minutes for the oven to heat to a required temperature. Is this normal? how do I go about trouble shooting the problem? I think both elements are working.

25 mins for oven to reach temp is not unusual. if it reaches temp ok across the range, don't think you have a problem

Temperature control ?

Heat is produced by control sending voltage to elements. Heat is measured by oven sensor or thermostat. Could be a bad element, oven sensor, thermostat, or control.

On a Frigidaire Gallery oven, it takes forever for the oven to heat to the set temperature. 20-30 minutes. This seems like a very long time. Once it reaches the temperature the oven temperature is fine,...

Replace the door seals, they are the thin rubber strips around the front of the oven when the door is open. They are simple to change as they just clip on.

GE OVEN DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY JBP69SGH2SS

I am not an expert, but this has happened to me. Examine your circuit breaker and see that it provides the amps that your oven requires. If it just barely provides it, then it could be that your circuit breaker is tripping if you have anything else on that line and it is being used. Especially hair dryers. If your circuit breaker is not tripping, you should contact GE or repair service because you may have a "power module" problem. Good luck.
