I have had the HT for 2 1/2 years and it has worked great for most of that time. About a month ago, we started having problems with the door latch. Now the washer seems fickle when washing a load. Sometimes ot goes all the way through and sometimes it stops with error code fdl or f14 or f22. My mother-in-law called a repair man who said it was a computer problem that will cost $700 to fix. Did we all get a lemon?

Bottom right hand corner, end of cycle button, hold it for 3 seconds; machine will fix itself. This is the 'child lock device'.

It turns the control lock on, do it again, and it turns the control lock off

Press 'options' & 'select' for 5 to 6 seconds, controls may unlock (depending on your model) If it is a key you see, it is the child lock.

I have a whirlpool duet ht, the control locked light is on, the machine won’t go on. I tried unplugging it pressed the control on. Nothing Can you please help?

It should be flashing a code that you can look up. A common code is for the pump to be jammed with something. It can be freed up through an access point under the lower front cover.

Control lock on duet washer GHW9250ML1 is flashing, nothing working even after unplugging. When replugged, light starts to flash again and nothing else.

Here's what the Duet tech sheet says to do:

1. Press PAUSE/CANCEL button on the touch-pad twice.
2. Drain the unit, then check that the Drain hose and Drain Pump
Filter is clear of foreign objects.
3. Check/ Replace Touch-pad/LED assembly.
4. Check harness connections.
5. Check the CCU.

Control locked light is on my Whirlpool duet ht washing machine. What can cause it?

The Control Lock is a safety feature that allows the consumer to lock the control panel to prevent small children from manipulating the controls. It can inadvertently be set following a power outage, or by leaning against the control panel. The following link explains how to turn the feature on/off:

If this does not correct your problem, then you may have a more serious problem than a simple operator control issue. If you need further assistance, please let me know. I hope this corrects the problem for you.

Flashing f11

Hi

F11 is a Serial Communication Error i.e. communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the Motor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent correctly. You need to
  • Check Wire Harness connectors to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
  • Check the Drive system for any worn or failed components
  • Check MCU
  • Check CCU
  • Check Motor
  • Check Wire Harness

  • Please do rate the solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.
