Sarcasm is not an attractive trait!!!! The question was put in the wrong section!!!!

  • sylviaivie Sep 13, 2012

I did not display sarcasm.. I simply stated that a clock is not a sewing machine. As far as attractive traits... Ignorance isn't an attractive trait either. Remember while you are pointing the finger at me calling me sarcastic... 3 others are point back at yourself.

SOURCE: needle is moving when bobbin is winding & lights are flashing

Check the clutch at the knob on the right side of the machine, where you tighten it to sew & loosen it to wind a bobbin. It could be very loose and when you start to wind a bobbin, it tightens itself up.

SOURCE: I have a White Speedy-lock model 234DE that is

Yikes, it does sound like it was knocked out of alignment. You have made sure all tension adjustments are right, correct? Hmmm there is not a whole lot else you can check. I would try that left needle to see if it winds correctly. If it does you know something was knocked off on that right needle. It may need to be professionally serviced at this point, it sounds like you have done all possible simple things that you can check...
Let me know what you find with that left needle and I will continue to research this.
Thanks, Tim

Have inherited my mom's elna Stella tsp air electronic. The foot control became harder to press, then stopped working. Elna want ZAR858 for a new part! Can I repair it?

Im confused, Stella TSP air electronic has a round black and white air foot with a black air line to the side of the machine like this.

or the earlier Lotus TSP has a electric foot and cable which is made of older style plastics, these are harder to find now but Sewingpartsonline.com carry an aftermarket one like this

No, not cheap parts but beautiful machines that with TLC work so well.

Threading bobbin singer athena 2009

Sorry... hate to say it but modern home singers are $%#&*@.

Have you tried a new bobbin? If the "spindle" spins... the bobbin should spin. Maybe your bobbin is busted or something?

The machine won't stitch anything...

check the feed dogs in the needle plate area to see if there up,
if you can see them & touch them with your finger, I'm putting in a link
for a free manual, so you can see where the lever is to the feed dogs, just
incase they are not up. if they are up then they may need to be checked
to see why they aren't moving the fabric.

My wife has a model 9110 sewing machine. It has stop picking up the thread from the bobin. Can you help on this fix?

Put new needle in

Make sure you have a 3-5 inch thread tail on both top thread & bobbin
Then hold the top thread tail with your fingers (away from the needle)
& use the hand wheel on the right hand side of machine & slowly lower needle into bobbin area & see if it will pick up the bobbin thread that way

rethread the bobbin,,also check the bobbin area for lint or loose threads

if none of these suggestions work, then the machine could be out of time & would need to be repaired

Problem with spinning bobbin case base of my Pfaff 360 sewing mac

on lockstitch machines with rotary hooks the base[the bit the spoolcase fits in]is held in place by a retaining finger, tip machine back and you will see a long finger with a right angle lug sticking out approx 4/5mm .loosen the screw holding the finger only slightly and spin the base till the top of the base is at the 12.00clock pos.[it will help if you take needle plate off]the lug fits into the cut out of the base.then tighten finger screw and try. if base is jammed you will need a mechanic to dismantle hook and repair and retime the machine.
