Thinkpad screen goes fuzzy

My IBM Thinkpad T30 screen goes randomly fuzzy, sometimes to an extent that the screen is unreadable. Putting pressure on the laptop base or tapping the laptop makes it go away for a while. This leads me to believe there is a loose connection in the laptop causing the screen interference. I can open it up myself, but I am looking for some direction on where I should start to look, and if there is anything specific I should check out. Thanks

I have exactly the same problem and in MHO this solution is off the mark. I have replaced the LCD and in addition the problem can be made to go away by warping the main case of the computer rather than the display. I would also like to know which connections to check and how to get to them. I have replugged the display connection to the mother board.

IBM Thinkpad T30 2366 won't boot after the IBM Thinkpad screen

you can go to the BIOS setting? if you can, look for "Boot Device Priority" or something like that,it's usually placed on Advanced settings. Set the first boot device as your harddisk, save the settings and restart your computer
Please let me know if it's working or not

Random System Stop Graphics Glitch and Automatic Restart

1. Go to Microsoft Update, search for updates and install all you can find there. Reboot. Go back there, then start detection, then in the left panel, choose hardware and install all you can find there.

2. Go to IBM support web site and get the latest drivers for you graphic adapter. You could also get the most recent drivers for you ATI Radeon graphic adapter from ATI.com.

3. I also recomment that you update your bios and install all the latest drivers (chipset, etc)

IBM Thinkpad T30 2367 beeps 8 times

Hi,
It's your memory, or more to the point, the memory slots. take all memory out, install 1 piece in the slot closest to the back of the laptop, push down on the memory as if pushing it into the motherboard, and hold pressure while booting.
Bet that works. if not, let me know.
I've got the same machine.
Good luck
