Picture perfect for 15-30 minutes and then goes into josephs technicoloured dream coat mode for 5 or so minutes then goes blank but still has sound.I've tried it without video & dvd player connected but just the same.connected them back up,tried dvd then video tape no picture but sound,its a evesham 32" lcd tv my 2nd in 3 months although the first was a dfferent fault,please help save my sanity

If its a Plasma it uses sustain or t con boards--sustain will usually be two--one for left side and one for right.
Only boards are sold for these sets--no individual parts--discover which board drives the right side and replace it while crossing your fingers--either it fixed the problem or you have a bad display panel (entire screen unit which is fatal from a cost point of view).
It is usually caused by problems from lead solder that sometimes does not connect, so there are some points of the components that are not connected with lead solder to the circuit. if it appears vertical line means from the IC (integrated circuit ) Vertical, you can solder all the points in the IC ( Integrated circuit ).
I have the same issue, Although My camera is a samsung N46, It was working perfectly the night before, then my friend switched it on and it came up with a black backround and pink + purple vertical lines going through it.
