Hello, have a 2006 dodge truck. had sirus and everything worked fine. now if i switch to sat, it only stays on 187(i think) and you can only change the volume down. is there some way to reset the sat portion. I tried disconnecting the batteries, but didn't change anything. Again, the radio and cd player work, but the xm stopped. Do I have to get a new one or does anyone have any other ideas? Please help?
Turn radio on to sat, display will read ch 184. Go on net to Sirius website.( i used my iPad ) Click on help and support at top of page. Click on refresh my radio. A page will come up. Enter radio esn. This will send a radio activation signal to the radio. This may take a few minutes. If after 5 minutes and nothing happens try again. It only took me one time. 2006 dodge ram 1500 factory radio. Good luck!!!
Turn off the radio but keep the car running. Press the eject and time button at the same time. This will give you the first four digits of your radio id. Press the seek button to advance to the next four. Continue until you have all sixteen digits. Call Sirius and they will send a refresh signal.
Soft reset. get in turn on truck with door shut turn on sat radio on ch 184. turn off radio turn off truck and take keys out. next open door fully for 90 seconds. shut door. turn on truck. turn on radio and have sirius reset it. its called a soft reset.

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. Sirius quit working for no reason around 3/24/09. Now it is just stuck on channel 184. I called sirius and they have tried 2 times now to resend the signal and nothing. They told me to take the truck to the dealer.
Sirius worked fine until I took it into the dealer to have the water pump replaced. Got truck back, and not radio just flashes between clock and channel 187. CD and AM/FM work fine. Resetting fuses did not help.

Same thing here... 2007 3500, Sirius site doesn't recognize my acct#, user name, password, etc... Tried the old school trick (calling them) and was on hold for 45 minutes before deciding to hang up. Still no Sirius...

I have an 06 dodge ram 2500 with the same issues. Soft resets do not work... hard reset does not work... and when I say hard reset... I am not talking about removing battery cables... I am referring to simply taking the clove box out... when removed the sirius xm control mudule is mounted stright up from the glove box opening... I removed the power plug from it and then pluged it back in... it then while in satellite mode serched for channels for a minute and then right back to nothing... no volume control... no being able to change the channel... and still on 184. I have taken mine to a radio shop and was told that it is the satellite receiver that needs to be replaced. Has anybody else heard this?
