If you scratched the lens or even out a smudge on it, you might have ruined it. Use a Q-tip with nothing on it and gently swirl the lens for about a minute. Hrad to tell if it is just limited to the lens or to the foucus coil assemble as well without seeing it. Never attemot to clean the lens if you are not trained to. Use a CD/DVD lens cleaner if you need to clear a "no disc" error.

If u can't play many of the DVD discs from Hollywood movies,Useally the disc itself the problems or the DVD recorder laser eye it bad.Tries websites like Amazon.com,Ebay.com buy a DVD cleaning kit.Put the disc in follow the directions, clean the laser eye data reader.50/50 chances will solved the disc not reading problems. If not the Laser eye is problems the unit not worth fixing buy a new one.DVD players are not woth the fixing of the Tech. prices.
Hi, sounds like you have a dirty laser eye on the DVD player. The eye gets dirty and it won't read movies or function properly. I would recommend a DVD Cleaner CD. I would have you try this before I have you open the DVD Player to clean the Laser Manually. Please try this and Post the Result for me to Review. Thank you
Is it all of your disks or just that one? If it is just one disk then you should try and clean the disk. If it is all of the disks then you may have a dirty laser eye and need to get a dvd cleaner, I personally recommend the phillips brand dvd cleaning kit. It should be a disk cleaner and a cd/dvd cleaning system for the laser eye. It usually runs under 15 dollars. If this doesnt work then your system is shot and you should replace it.
you have dirty lens, try to cleaning with 100% cotton buds. or you have damage laser eye, or broken flex ribbon wire, but first you have to do is to cleaning the lens with cotton buds.. if not reading after you clean the lens! change the laser eye and flex ribbon wire.
