How to exchange leather straps for almost any watch brand

Most of the people are pretty sure that when their watch leather straps are worn out they have to replace them with new ones, made by exactly the same brand as their watch brand is. This is completely wrong. About 95% of all watch brand models can be fitted with leather straps from any watch strap producer without loosing brands identity. All you have to do is: 1. Release the strap from the watch; 2. Measure the width of the strap where the spring bar (pin) goes through and write it down or memorize it; 3. Undo the buckle/clasp; 4. Measure the width of strap in place where the buckle/clasp was fitted and write it down or memorize it; 5. Measure the length of the strap (both parts together) and write it down or memorize it. Now you have everything you need for strap replacement. Visit any shop selling leather straps or even find it on the internet. You will find thousands of different colours, patterns and leather variations. The choice is yours. Just one thing to remember: The strap you are buying must match all the measurements you took of your original strap. This is not difficult to match, as the watch straps usually are made to global standards. When you have your new strap delivered, just fit it to your watch and undo the buckle/clasp that came with it. Fit your old, original buckle/clasp on to the new strap and you are done. Most watch manufacturers impress, engrave or laser engrave their logos on buckles/clasps, not on the leather straps itself. So, when you fit the original buckle/clasp on brand new strap of different make, it becomes the original strap of the watch you own. And nobody knows that the strap is, for example, from Hong Kong, but watch is from Switzerland (except you, of course} as they look together as one nicely designed piece and the buckle/clasp works as the proof of identity. In case if your watch has some unusually shaped fixing for the strap, this shape can be easily cut in to the strap by modellers scalpel. At the very end I just want to remind to all readers: Watch straps sold under watch brand names are 2-10 times more expensive. In fact - they are not produced by watch manufacturers themselves, but in Italy, Germany, China and Hong Kong and then sent to watch manufacturers. Just because these straps were fitted to the watches and the buckles or clasps were added to them, these straps automatically becomes their brand straps and cost a lot, lot more. Hope it helps to save your hard earned money.

I took the straps off and can not put them back, can you help?

The Long strap goes under the seat and comes up thru 2 holes (each end goes up thru each side). The holes are on each side of where the child sits. They come up and weave into the latches that snap into the **** clasp. Upward toward where the child's head would be they go thru the chest clasp. Look at the writing on the clasp to make sure it is on right (letters read the name Cosco and arent upside down) and the belts should be behing the clasp (in at the bottom of the clasp and out at the top). Up thru the holes on the back of the chair at the height appropriate for the childs body. Out the back and down to the claw that is on a strap under the front that you can pull to tighten or press to release slack as the child gets bigger. There should be 1 or 2 (usually 2) slots for the ends of the straps to be slid on to. Sit the child in the car seat and adjust the belt system so that a finger can be slid between the belts and the child's shoulders. This should do the trick. Good luck and be safe.

Hi there. i have purchased the frootmuff for quinny and there is no instructions. im not sure where the straps attach to on the top and there is 2 slits for the soulder straps to go through when i can only...

the first large hole to the bottom of the footmuff is for the **** pad you will then need to remove top section of straps from the pram which is a slide clip then remove the strap covers at this point you can push the straps in the two lower slits at about bottom height then you will need to put the strap covers back on then fit through either the first or second slits in the cosey toes (depending on height of child) attching he straps back to the pram and you are ready to go also most quinny prams have 2 levels which the shoulder straps can be attched i hope this helps x

Adjusting the shoulder straps on the Maclaren volo stroller

What year is your Volo. Different years adjust differently. The newer ones have 3 height adjustment slots and a slider that adjusts the strap itself. They do not adjust way down though and even with teh straps as tight as they will go, they are still a little loose on my 15 month old granddaughter. I have found that buy tightening the waist straps it does keep her a little more secure.

Eddie bauer travel system manual (bryant)

Hi, on the reverse side of the seat is a strap that is fastened by a clasp. By squeezing the clasp, you allow the straps to pass through the clasp, and adjust the strap length. By doing this the angle of the seat can be adjusted
