My fiance' ordered a dog grooming clippers from over seas, and when she tried to use it here in south africa the transformer burnt out in just a few minutes. What can the cause be?

SOURCE: Why won't my groomer let me stay and watch while they groom my dog? I think it's very strange that they ask me to leave.

I worked at a vet clinic for several years, and the dogs normally behave better when the owner is not present. If the dog could see the owner, they were too busy trying to squirm away to get to the owner, instead of standing still. If you think your dog is being mistreated, look further into it :)

A vet and a groomer is different. I am near my dog at every grooming visit, and he's fine. If a groomer won't allow you to watch, then I'd find another groomer. I've had two groomers, and both let me be near my pet, and in fact, sometimes it helps them to calm down when you talk to them. Mine has been groomed every month for over five year now, so he knows the routine.

Why won't blades stay aligned?
Ok either the 2 screws that hold the blade to the clipper are loose or the adjusting lever on the side could be loose please check both.

P.S you must align blade before you tighten the screws.

I have Conair dog clippers. They were working fine one minute and stopped the next. How can I repair them myself?
If you can pinpoint the cause of the problem, generally you can find replacement parts and do it yourself. Just be 100% sure you know exactly what you are doing to avoid further damage to the tool, or injury to yourself.

What would make circuit board burn out in Andis AGP trimmers?
You need to replace the motor and the PCB. The motor is drawing too much current, that's what has wrecked the PCB. If the armature is a separate available part rather than a complete motor then it will be the armature you need.

What is the best pet grooming tool besides shampoo?
My favorite grooming tool is the mitt. It is a glove that you wear and swipe alongyour dog's coat. It is good for allkinds of dogs, big, small, and even smooth or wire haired.
