Yamaha 3000ise generator electrical problem - stalling

SOURCE: My low oil level light comes on

i presume that motor has a few miles on it. possibly the motor is so worn that it can't maintain a decent oil pressure. quick fix is to add heavier oil which hopefully will last for abit. be careful if you are in a cold climate as the thicker oil will make it harder to crank over in the winter.

yes yes yes the new yamahas foul plugs like crazy i dont know if it is a valve defect or what but you will be changing them every year one trick i have been doing to my coustmers watercraft and has been working well insead of ngk cr9eb plugs use a cr8eb it is a hotter plug there for it will burn better and no it will not hurt your ski trust me i have over 15 yrs ex and 6 in r&d research and design

First locate the oil pressure switch and see if you can bypass it,then see if it runs. If not check the fuel filter and fuel pump,make sure solonoid for fuel pump is kicking on.

SOURCE: Honda GX160 runs fine for 5 minutes then dies like out of fuel.

I would look for the fuel filter. Blow it our. I know you have a new tank of gas, but you might want to empty it out and make sure the clean and put in new. Even with Stabil in the gas you might just have to much condensation in the tank

My guess is that while it was running out of gas the balnket and heater was pulling a load that the generator could not keep up with. Do you still have the manual????????
