Clean light flashs seven times, stops and then does the same over again.
The key pad on this dishwasher has the following bottons:Smart Wash,Pots Pans,Normal Wash,China Gental,Quick Rinse,HiTemp Scrub,Sani Rinse,Air Dry,Start,Cancel. The dishwasher was serviced due to that it would run over two hours. Repairman replaced the Control Electronic. Ran the cycle for about ten mintues and then pushed Cancel. Has not worked after that. Repairman now tells me that the Heater element is bad. The disher washer is four years. Have tried depower and then repower with no help. Thanks for your help.

Bellman, on this model I believe you can clear the fault by pressing high temp scrub--air dry--high temp scrub--air dry in that order. Your normal cycle on this dishwasher is approx 97 minutes without the thermal holds, (pauses to heat the water to proper temps.) So of course it's going to go over 97 minutes. This is for heavy soil. Light soil, approx 89 minutes. Some models have a soil sensor, some don't. If the sensor is out of specs..it could add to long wash times. The heater may in fact be the problem, he needs to check it. The heater runs through the nuetral side of the door switch so you want to make sure the switch is closing and the dishwasher is level and secure. He also wants to check out the resistance of the thermistor, should read 48 to 52K ohms at aprox. 75 degrees. Catriver..post back.

The Control is programmed to stop running and not allow any further cycles if it detects a water heating problem (no temperature increase detected in heated Main Wash on 3 consecutive cycles). The Control will flash the Clean LED 7 times repeatedly and will disable the Start/Resume key until cleared.
To clear and reset the control press in this order: Heated Dry ? Normal ? Heated Dry ? Normal and then let the unit run for 1-2 minutes and then press Cancel and let the dishwasher complete the cancel cycle. The dishwasher should operate normally again unless it does not detect a temperature rise in the main wash cycle.
It could be caused by a Heater circuit problem if it continues to stop and flash the Clean light.
It could have one of the following failures:
Open in heater.
Open connection or component in heater circuit.
Faulty heater drive circuit on control.
It can also be caused by the wash pump not pumping water past the heater efficiently.
HIGH TEMP WASH- HEATED DRY- HIGH TEMP WASH- HEATED DRY - CANCEL/OFF
the control will be reset...but more importantly how many times in a row does the light flash..it will indicate what error code its displaying??
example if it flashes 4 times then a pause then flashes 4 times again its displaying the error code#4 7 flashes then pause then 7 flashes its displaying the error code#7 ect ect
Door latch. Open and close the door to make sure the door latch is securely fastened
Hi-Temp Wash, Hi-Temp Rinse, or Sanitize options. Some models have options that may require a water heating delay, such as Hi-Temp Wash, Hi-Temp Rinse, or Sanitize. Additional time may be required to heat the water to the proper temperature. The dishwasher will continue to circulate water during this heating delay but the timer will not advance until the proper temperature is reached
Hello, Crack the door open and then hit the following botton combination high temp wash - heated dry - high temp wash - heated dry then close the door and hit the cancel button. wait for the pump to stop. Hope this helps! Mike
The cleam light blinking means that the unit was not able to reach a proper heated wash cycle. Either your heating element failed orthe actual sump/pump motor system has failed. Check the element in the botton and see if it looks broken anywhere. If you can see a broken spot, you will k now that is the trouble.
QuietGuard3: Clean light flashing 7 times? Press Heated Dry, press Normal Wash, then press Heated Dry again and press Normal Wash again (that's 4 button-presses) and that should fix it.
