SOURCE: Zenith XBV443 DVD Player / VCR Combo - Set Clock Manualy

I have the Zenith xbv613 model DVD/VCR player and also need to change the clock set up. For the xbv613 I had to switch the player to VCR. The menu button did not bring the clock set up in DVD. When I switched to VCR and hit the menu button the clock set up showed, where I used to right arrow button to change the time. Hope this helps.

No, the Zenith XBV443 can not record a VHS tape to DVD. This unit is a DVD Player/VCR recorder. It doesn't have the ability to burn data/files to disc. The manual is available at ManualsLib: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/267291/Zenith-Xbv-443.html . The DVDs that it can play are limited: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/267291/Zenith-Xbv-443.html?page=5#manual .

How to convert VCR to DVD

no easy way to do this unfortunately. You either need to connect your VCR to a DVD recorder and record it directly onto DVD or use a device such as this http://www.dx.com/p/easycap-usb-video-capture-adapter-5707 to connect your VCR to your computer and record it onto your computer that way.

I have the Zenith XBV443. I'm trying to copy saved programs from my dvr on my tv to dvd discs. My neighbor has a simular model yet we can't find out why I'm unable to do the same. What do you think is the...

Hi there,

The Zenith player/recorder will be able to record to DVD from an external input such as a PVR. The most likely reasons you are unable to record successfully are:

1. The TV / DVR is not connected to the Zenith recorder correctly. You need a separate cable for recording. You cannot record using the cable that is connected for playback of DVD discs.
2. The TV / DVR does not have "VIDEO OUT" sockets
3. You have not selected the correct external input on the Zenith recorder

If you can let me know the brand and model number of your TV / DVR and how it is connected to the Zenith DVD recorder, I can let you know why it isn't working, how to make it work, and even draw you a setup diagram, if required. It's very difficult to give you the correct answer without these details.

You Zenith DVD recorder will record from the DVR - the real question is, can the DVR send video to the Zenith DVD recorder . . . ?

BElectric

How to use my Zenith VRB4215 VCR with my new LG

please refer to this picture: http://www.retrevo.com/r/375bh427/3/Connections+for+your+VCR#q=Zenith+VRB4215

Rather than use the method in the picture above you should use the audio L+R and video OUT on your VCR and connect these three to the color matching audio IN and video IN ports on your television. The colors are red, and white for audio and yellow for the video. If you do not own a cable like this simply pick one up at radio shack they will know exactly what you need. The pictured method will work also but the picture and sound quality will not be the best possible.

Remember you are sending data OUT from the VCR and IN to the TV

Hooking up a cd player

I'm assuming you mean a DVD player, not a CD player? 1. You can get an input splitter (basically an A/B switch for the cable), and connect to that, manually switching between the two sources. 2. You can replace the VCR and the DVD player with a combination DVD/VHS unit. Although it would seem logical, it is unlikely that you can hook the DVD player to the VCR, since the VCR will refuse to let the signal pass though it, as part of its MacroVision copy protection. (This is the same sytem that prevents you from recording DVDs onto VHS tapes.)
