HI, bought a Kenwood stereo full automatic turntable system but no manual and nothing on line. Would appreciate help please with Trio stereo graphic EQ GE-600 Thank you.

First off, you can NOT run the turntable straight through the EQ.
It needs a preamp and needle EQ of it's own first.
Some home amps allow you to loop between the Pre and the Amp, THAT is where you would install the EQ.
You can also NOT just run it into a mixer, it needs that Pre before.
Good luck.

Can i use karaoke mic in harman avr 245 ?

No. The 245 doesn't have a microphone input. Besides, the speakers for a home surround sound system are a bit too delicate for the distortion levels generated by karaoke.

Here's a $300 speaker (yes, $300 for a single speaker) wrecked from teens doing karaoke. They then bust it more messing around trying to push the tweeter cone together so the crack wouldn't be so noticeable

If you still want to go ahead with the idea then you'll need some other bits of gear. For simplicity sake I'd recommend a karaoke CD+G player. It will have mic inputs, vocal echo, and take care of putting the works up on screen.

The alternative is a mixer with effects (echo, reverb) - Cheap is Behringer Xenyx 1202FX

and a source device for music and graphics. This could be your PC, but you'll then need to go trawling for karaoke files and you'll need some software to play them and do the words. Sax & Dotty is pretty good software.

The PC sound needs to be connected to the mixer in a stereo channel. The mic goes in mono on a mic channel. The output of the mixer goes to the AVR on an AUX input.

Im trying to hook up a eq to my yamaha c80 preamp and dont have preamp out puts how do I go about doing it?

Hello Tom. The preamp outputs are on the right hand side of the back panel. You have normal and inverted outputs. These are RCA connections and should be connected to the inputs of an EQ unit. The outputs from the EQ unit are then connected to the input of your amplifier (c65) Perhaps I am misunderstanding youtr question? If I have not answered helpfully, feel free to ask further questions.
Cheers, Don.

I have a Crest Audio V900, a set of Bose 901, a Gemini EQ-3000. Do I need a PREAMP? Or can I hook up the Crest AMP to the Equalizer?

You could use the EQ but it won;t sound as good as it will with a pre amp and also could make it a bit trickier when adjusting the volume and getting it to sound right.

How do i hook up my preamp my equalizer and my compact disk player

If your preamp has a Tape Monitor loop:

Eq Pre or Line Out to Preamp Tape In
EQ Pre or Line In to Preamp Tape Out

CD to Aux on the preamp

Engage the Tape Monitor to place the EQ between any source attached the the preamp (including the CD) and whatever follows it (an amp??).

I cant connect my pc to my mixer for karaoke

Ronnie, The numark mixer will not project CD+G graffix on the pc. You can only send the audio from the mixer to the pc. To use karaoke on the pc you need files that re MP3+CDG or CD+G discs. Most karaoke systems only support TVs through a video line usually RCA connections. In order to get video to your PC you need a video card or TV tuner card installed. Most people use it in the reverse having their music files on the PC and then streaming to the mixrer and then the audio speakers. Winamp with MEXP and the CD+G plug installed should work nicely for you. Let me know if I can help further I have been a mobile DJ for 20+ years

Hooking up sound system

The RSQ player goes into the input section of the mixer.
The mixer effect send goes to the Quadraverb input and the output of the Quadraverb goes back to the effect in on the mixer. Now the Main out on the mixer goes to the EQ then the EQ goes to the compressor/limitor to power amp to speakers.

Connection

There are 2 ways to have an EQ in the system. If the mixer (1204) has inserts for the mains, you can use a set of insert cables to connect the EQ. If not, connect the Output of the mixer to the Input of the EQ and the Output of the EQ to the Input of the Amp.

The insert cables will allow you to electrically connect the EQ as described above only using a single set of cables. These cables are 1/4" balanced or stereo at one end (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) and dual XLR at the other. You will need 2 insert cables, one for right and one for left.

Hope this helps,
dan
