The sound from my headset suddenly and abruptly cut out from my headset for no apparent reason. Upon disassembling the control box (volume control etc.) I found that twisting or moving the wires connected to the headset temporarily restored sound, until it was cut out again. I was unable to sustain sound for more than a few seconds no matter what position I held it in. I would like to disassemble further, but am afraid I will break it. What can I do?

It's going to be next to impossible to run down a wiring diagram for this product. The only people that will have them are Voyetra's manufacturing facility, and most of the time they don't supply them. You will have to inspect the terminals, to try to determine which ones the wires broke off, and take a guess as to polarity, is my only simple shot at a solution. If you take at least a 10x or 20x loupe, you can often discern the broken solder pads, etc.
It's a long shot, but you might get it working again.
Otherwise, here's Meade's customer repair site:

Good luck, wish I had better news...
