WOTLK Keyset not enabling

My new WOTLK keyset will not enable. I have basic keyboard operations but none of my WoW set hotkeys like chat buttons etc are working. When i try to get an update i can't as i am unable to even get onto the zboard site. Telling me it's unavailable or doesn't exist. Please Help

    I have the same problem, i was able to return my first key set and try a second one but its still not working. the BC keyset i have works fine. I get some error message when i go to the zbaord website. and i am running winxp home version, everything is updated, the WoTLK keyset works fine as a regular keyboard but the special keys wont work at all.

    I have the same problem with the same wolk keyset and the site not working, anyone have a way to get this to work? its kinda pissing me off

    this might be a possible solution for some of us
    go to this website, select your zboard from the menu, select your language,English is listed as USA --it says language but its more like country, there are two options next-either 32 bit or 64 bit
    its a big file, about 52 MB

    I have the same problem and that download does not work. I have yet to get the keys to work. i give up.

    My WoTLK keyset won't activate, but my other keysets do.

    Also getting latest drivers didn't fix problem

    Yeah ine does te smae went to get the update and says it has a error on it and cant geet it my normal functions work though.

    i have the same issues with the wtlk zboard no emotes, right side key set not functionable except errows

    Same problem here, drivers crash when i start up and nothing works but normal functions

Drivers for the Zboard can be found at the following link

http://www.steelseries.com/download

Select the Zboard, your require language and then either 32bit or 64 bit, depending on which you are running. The driver file will download.

Where is the Enable button on a Bc zboard?
There isn't one, you have to use the Zboard software to enable the keyboard if it is disabled.

I had the same problems as you and found this answer on blizzard forums.



First, the disc that comes with your ZBoard is now too old to use. The drivers on the disc were made by Ideazon before Steelseries took over, whereas the WotLK keyset was made afterwards. Steelseries seem to have completely reworked the drivers in the interim.

How to Fix
Step 1. Uninstall your ZBoard.
Step 2. Go to http://www.steelseries.com/downloads/#keyboards and DL the Z Engine.
Step 3. Make sure your ZBoard is plugged in with the standard keyset.
Step 4. Install the new Z Engine.
Step 5. Switch to your WotLK keyset.
Step 6. Run WoW.

I used this solution last night with some success.
Most of the gamer keys now work but some still don't work correctly such as, all the chat buttons default to say.

ZBoard setup for WoW keyset not working.
go to

www.steelseries.com/downloads

select the USB zboard keyboard and download the relevant patch/software

I have done this, and my WoW ZBoard and all the special functions buttons work

The problem is, ideazon was bought out by steelseries, but this information was no included when you bought the board.

WOW Wrath of the Lich King Keyset for ZBoard
I had the same problems as you and found this answer on blizzard forums.

Steelseries took over from Ideazon and Ideazone no longer exist so none of their websites work any more.

Uninstall the current zengine. Then reboot and go to http://www.steelseries.com/downloads/#keyboards
Download the new drivers for your keyboard. The light probably wont work but but the keys should. Good Luck

PROGRAMMING

SET DATE AND TIME DISPLAY Should it become necessary to correct the date and time displayed on all of the keysets, due of time change (twice a year), you must first access the customer programs.
 To access customer programs, open system programming using the passcode you have been assigned. (Default passcode is 1234). You must use a (display phone) LCD 12B or LCD 24B keyset. ENABLE CUSTOMER PROGRAMMING topbul1a.gif While on-hook, press TRSF and dial 200. he display shows. ENABLE CUS. PROG.
PASSCODE: topbul1a.gif Dial the four digit passcode. The display shows: ENABLE CUS. PROG.
DISABLE topbul1a.gif Dial 1 or press the ▲ on the Volume to enable. The display shows: ENABLE CUS. PROG.
ENABLE topbul1a.gif Press TRSF. The keyset returns to its idle condition.
 The display format is the following:
W (Day of the week): Enter 0 for Sunday and 6 for Saturday.
MM (Month): Enter 01 for January and 12 for December.
DD (Day of the month): Enter a number in the range of 01-31
YY (Year): Enter the last two digits of the year.
HH (Hours): Use the 24 hour clock and enter a number in the range of 00-24.
MM (Minutes): Enter a number in the range of 00-59. SETTING THE DATE AND TIME 1. Press TRSF and then dial the 505. The display shows: OLD: 1102802:0852
NEW: WMMDDYY:HHMM 2. Enter the new time and date using the above format: OLD: 1102802:0852
NEW: 1102802:0752 3. Verify the time and date and reenter them if necessary OLD: 1102802:0752
NEW: WMMDDYY:HHMM 4. Press TRSF to store and exit programming.
 If you have entered invalid data, you will receive an [INVALID ENTRY] message for three seconds. Reenter the correct date and time. If the information you entered is incorrect, repeat steps 1 through 4.
