I have a Kenmore Dryer that the timer will not advance. The dryer does everything just fine, except the timer will not run. I have replaced the timer, but the problem still persists. All voltages going to the timer motor are good and a resistance check of the timer motor reads about 16 ohms. Can anyone provide an assist?
Kenmore dryer timer won t stop turning

Timer resistance is way too low. You may have misswired the new timer. Basically, when the dryer motor is running, the timer motor gets voltage 115 volts.

Thanks for the assist, but I managed to figure this one out. The replacement timer I was shipped was the wrong part number. Once I received the CORRECT part, I managed to get everything running just fine.
My dryer timer wont advance, have replaced it 3 times and none of them have worked. I had them tested when I took them back and no response when put on the meter that tests if its good. The appliance company wont refund my money only get me another part. Is there any thing I can do I can't afford to go buy a new dryer it was 124.00 for the timer alone. It was hooked up exactly the way the diagram instructs but still no movement of the dial.
Replaced everything but the timer and motor
OTHER THAN THAT THE DRYER WORKS GREAT
