The on/off switch on my t-mobile MDA is broken. It does not have the nice spring loaded click effect, and no longer turns the phone on and off. For a couple days, I could use the phone only after someone called, and woke the phone up. Then, like a fool, I tried removing the battery and putting it back in. Now I can't turn the phone on... :-)
How do I disassemble or take apart the phone completely to get to the switch?
Any ideas on how to repair the on/off switch?
Thanks.
I dropped my MDA and knocked the spring loose, I also took the battery out, and now im stuck with a dead phone...I dropped my MDA and knocked the spring loose, I also took the battery out, and now im stuck with a dead phone...

Plug in your charger to your phone, find something small to stick into the reseting hole, when your phone turns on, go into settings>power>advanced: un-click the "turn off device if not used for"
it may drain your battery faster, BUT it works!!! :D
Good Luck!

in windows, right click on the CD player with you cd in it. click explore and look for USB Drivers. Install the drivers and try hooking your phone up again. Try using a fast USB 2.0 port on the computer.
dear u need to reinstall ur OS on ur MDA it will automatically install ur blue tooth device drive..there is no possiblity that in MDA blue tooth wont present...so go to start>> setting >> clear Storage...and then wait for ur OS to install automatically...but remove ur storage card and also backup of ur data (device data) or copy it to storage card...it will work..
another problem if anyone can help is how to send contacts from mda vario to mda vario III??????? its getting me down!!!!
also having problems with sync so cant load onto pc then copy but it used to wk!!
My daughter's MDA had the same problem. I just opened the phone and soldered the legs on the corners back to the board. You have to bend the pins on the back of the plug down to make contact with the board, before you solder. Place plug back down and line it up with contacts. If done right should work as normal. Hope that helps
