I can get past the character screen but then the game freezes when loading (approx 46%) and the loading screen turns black. I can still hear the sound, but with a black screen. I've tried running it in safe mode and also with US proxy and as adminstrator. None of these solutions have worked.
Change the Graphik Card or replace a new Motherboard

check the video cable and see if it;s properly seated. run the laptop with something that uses memory. if the video chip it going to show signs of problems, it will be more prominent when the laptop gets hot. most cases laptop motherboards have integrated video cards and cannot be replaced.

you can start in safemode with network support and do those scan assuming you are on cable or dsl via a lan card

plz try to boot through safe mode, if you can then log in normally.
if you cant boot from safe mode then you have to reload or repair your os.

Hi there
"Unmountable Boot Volume." means that the system 32 folder has become corrupt and probably you will have to recover the system.
If you have XP CD for a clean install, you have to change the boot order from within the bios (F2 on boot up) and tell it to boot from CD.
This will change the boot order and allow you to reinstall the OS.
Be warned that you WILL loose data if this is the only option open to you.
