You may use any SD card up to 2GB in size (4GB if you can find any). Make sure you get an SD card and not an SDHC card, as the latter are electronically incompatible and will not work. The brand and speed won't make much difference, though a faster card may download faster to your computer if you use a compatible card reader. I'd also stick with the major brands, such as SanDisk, PNY, and Lexar.
You need to use the supplied Sansa Media Converter program to convert your photos (and videos) to a format the Sansa can handle. If you don't have the SMC, you can download the Windows version from http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3IPZO6Q0
THIS WILL MAKE YOU LOOSE ALL FILES!!!
(even password)
Take the memorycard out of the phone and,
put it in a computer.Use filesystem FAT-32
to reformat your memorycard.
Now the card will work again!
No password, No files will be left after a
complete reformat

I would think it is having more trouble with the adapter than the actual card. It could also be the storage size of the card that is the problem as well. Try a regular 2GB SD Card and see if it works. If it does, then it is probably just the adapter.
hi, it should be in my computer, then sd card should be list of drives on the acer, if not you may need the updated drivers or it is broken, i know this because i have 2 newer acer notebooks, one the driver updates fixed. the second one,the chipset controlling the card reader, usb, touchpad, keyboard, are all dead.sent it to the factory and they want 450.00 flat rate, for repair for this problem. if the usb ports work on your pc, consider an external card reader,if the usb ports don't work, get an pcmcia cardbus usb. or xpess card whatever your acer is equipt with. here is a link for acer drivers. hope this helps you folkshttp://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/forms/portal20.cfm?website=AcerPanAm.com&siteid=7117&areaid=2&formid=3394#results
