Question about Sanyo PLC XU30 Multimedia Projector

When u switch it on a timer comes on for 30 seconds then the projector turns off can any one help please

Had the exact same problem, after my projector was powered off upruptly.
Turnedout all I had to do was push down slightly on the tempreturesensor/fuse (is opens the power circut if the projector gets too hot,and thus doesnt allow any current)
Here is the full repair/service schematic for the projector. It should help you locate the sensor.

I have a Sanyo XU35. Mine was starting up and showed a picture for about 15 - 30 seconds then shutting down. My lamp warning light was not coming on. When I put it in for repairs it turned out to be the lamp that needed replacing. The technician said it is not uncomman for the lamp to be gone and the lamp warning light not to come on. I got my lamp on e-bay from ping_ngo for a great price.

Can't start infocus sp7200 after changing lamp.
The end of lamp timer has reached it's limit and won't let the new lamp strike. What you need to do is Reset the end of life timer. To do this, with the projector switched off press and hold both the up and down Brightness buttons on the projector. while holding them in turn on the projector. Continue holding the buttons in for 10 to 15 seconds This will reset the end of life timer in the projector.

TURN PROJECTOR ON. FAN TURNS ON NO LAMP, RED SATUS LIGHT COMES ON
Bulb timer has expired. Press the left arrow, right arrow and power switch simultaneously for a few seconds. The projector should power up, but this indicates that a new bulb is required and should be fitted as soon as possible, as there is a risk of the old bulb exploding.

Light on my sharp xg-nv4su projector comes on for a few seconds then goes off. how do i reset the lamp timer?
To reset the lamp timer you:
1. Turn off the main power button on the back of the projector.
2. Hold down the down, right, and enter buttons on the projector.
3. Turn the main power button on the back back on.
4. The projector should come on, hold down the buttons for at least 3 seconds after it comes on. If it doesn't come on, repeat the steps.
5. Turn the projector back off using the sleep button on the top of the projector. Then turn it back on. If it comes on and is functional, you have successfuly reset the lamp timer.

Mod.620 shuts dowd.
Everytime that you use to change Lamp, the unit system timer must reset or setup again... You can see and change this option in the MENU SETTING using the remote control of the unit..

Lamp will not come on

Reset Lamp Hours Timer
This works on a couple different Toshiba models -- might work on yours...

Make sure the main power switch is OFF. Hold the "ON", "MENU", and "INPUT" buttons at the same time and turn the main power switch on. Keep them held until the yellow power standby light comes on, then let go. It is done.
