Ink leaking in HP 8500 A909G printer

Cyan ink cartridge leaked and filled up the bottom of the cartridge compartment. How do I clean it up? How do I fix the leak problem? How do I open the top of the device completely so I can work inside the unit?

SOURCE: ink cartridges will not slide due to leaking ink underthe printer

Sorry to hear about the mess. Let's start with the clean up of the ink. Use a dry cloth or paper towel to wipe up the ink that has spilled out of the cartridge. Wipe gently so you don't do any damage to the internal components of your printer. The ink will likely color the inside of your printer - That's okay. Just make sure you get anything that puddles. It should not look wet.

On to the non-moving cartridge carrier. The standard fix for this is to do a hard reset on the printer. Follow these steps.

1. Unplug the power cord and remove the paper from the paper tray.
2. Move the carriage all the way to the right, close the lid and reconnect the power cord.
3. The printer will make some noise as it starts back up. Wait until it stops making noise.
4. Open the printer lid. The carriage should return to its normal position.
5. Try printing again.

If this does not work, then damage has been done to the internal components. You will need to get the printer serviced by a repair person.

SOURCE: HP DeskJet 930c is leaking black ink

The printer primes and cleans the cartridges when the cartridges go to the right side of carriage. Sounds like a cartridge has either leaked or you have used it enough the the ink pool is full, or you have layed the printer on its side or back. From experence, if ink is leaking out of the printer, your probley better off getting anithe printer. I have tried to take the covers off and clean inside print, and it is a messy job.

SOURCE: Leaking black in from the bottom of the printer

actually your printer needs servicing but for temprory solution.take a bunch of tissue paper .keep the printer on and the printer cover open so the cartridge will be in the center.then with the tissue paper place it internally on the side from where its leaking.the sponge which collects the wastage ink is at present got full and now it does not have the capacity to soak the ink.so its leaking.as you will place the tissue papers the ink will be soaked by tissue paper and the sponge will again become bit dry to soak more ink.but its the temprory solution.to make it permanent get the printer serviced and sponge replaced.the problem is not all serious ,its common.every printer comes to this stage after certain usage.and the servicing is the solution.a local printer repair shop also does the servicing job .
hope this helps.
thanks.

Printer is not printing yellow, Light Cyan, Cyan, blue lines through Light Magenta & Magenta, What could be causing this and it is also leaking black ink out of the bottom of printer.

Is it under warranty, are you re-filling the cartridges? If yes to first and no to the other two, send it back under warranty. If you use copy cartridges or refill old ones the warranty is vod. This means you need to replace the printer. To be honest, you'd be better off buying an Epson all in one. Even the wireless model start @ sound 40gbp and you can buy good copy cartridges from choicestationery.com

I had the blue ink leak inside my C6180 printer and now it won't print in blue. How do I fix this? Thanks

What you really saw was a really light blue or "cyan" color. Right?

Replace the Cyan Ink cartridge.

Your Cyan ink cartridge leaked it's ink out, and now it is dead.... Bad cartridge, if it was "brand new" (or nearly brand new), ***** to the retailer that sold it to you, they should replace it for free. Have invoice handy, ask to speak to the "manager" or "boss" (a "supervisor" is still a "peon", and can't make decisions like that).

If they give you the run-around, ask to talk to the OWNER! If they shut u down (and/or **** u off), and the store is local (within driving range) bring the printer into the store (dripping ink and all) and raise holy hell. You'll be surprised how fast they "throw" ink cartridges (even new printers) at you to get rid of you 8^). Nothing smells of death more, to a sales person or manager, than an irate customer on the sales floor!

BTW, You'll want to clean up any excess "blue"/cyan ink that was leaked inside your printer, or you'll get ink blotches on you printouts.

Let me know if this help ya! Cheers...

Cyan ink discharge at the back of the ink crtrige.

The leak is from the cyan ink cartridge or from the connections in the ink tube system. Replace the ink cartridge first. If that does not fix the problem, replace the ink tube system.

The printer HP920c ink leaks

The Cleaning station is filled with ink AND the cartridge is broken, this can be caused by using a [poorly?] refilled cartridge.
To solve this you have to disassemble the printer and clean the cleaning station, replace the absorbent pad and replace the ink cartridge.
