If there are lines on the screen [parellel lines across the screen horizontally, at about an inch or so apart], your tv needs screen adjustment. Its screen voltage is now high. It can be brought low by adjustments. There is a screen adjustment control, usually integrated with Line Output Transformer. If you know, you yourself can adjust this. It is an internal adjustment and need to open the back cover of the TV. Don't use your TV for long time without rectifying this problem. It may get picture tube damaged. The electron guns inside the picture tube neck will get red hot and its emmision will be reduced.

Unplug TV set from the outlet, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, select right input with your remote if you using cable box or Punch the channel that you want to watch if you have cable service connected directly to the TV.
This is a power supply problem. It may be as simple as a blown fuse or as complex as a problem with overvoltage and overcurrent events within the circuitry of the Horizontal and Hig Voltage sections of the set. If it is a fuse that's simple to replace, the other well that can get kind of involved. In any event I would suggest that you get the set analyzed by a qualified Television repair person.
