Question about Toshiba e-Studio162D Copier
I have the copier on, but the display message says: system error [H4-00] refer to user guide. I have tried everything, even ended up covered in ink toner from head to toe. The "!" blinking light will not disappear. I have done everything it tells me to do in the Operator's manual for basic function. Nothing is working and i'm at the office and i need my copier working ASAP! Please Please help
The correct buttons to push in order to get into the service mode on a 162D are [#] key, [*] key, [C] key and [*] key. Then you key in 14 - 00 and press the Start key. If that fails to bring your machine back on, you'll have to replace the fusing assembly.

Error H4-00 refers to the fuser not heating to the proper temperature. The H4-00 code must be reset in order for the copier to attempt to come to ready again. You can reset the code using the following : Press "#" Press "Interrupt" Press "Clear" Press"Interrupt" (This puts the machine in service mode) Note: The interrupt key is also called the pause key & looks like an equal sign with an arrow pointing to it. Once in service mode- Press 14 Then Press the Start button Press the "all clear" key to get out of service mode. You may have to turn the machine off & back on to get it to attempt to come to ready. If after clearing the code & power cycling machine you still get the H4-00 code you most likely have a blown fuser lamp or thermo fuse, & I would suggest contacting a service provider for replacement of the lamp or fuse. Good Luck!!

Tried this fix but nothing changes on my display. I may be pressing the wrong "pause" button. My macjine has a "redial/pause" button but I do not have one with the = sign and an arrow.
Any other idea is appreciated.
H4-00
