I just want to clarify if I can directly plug the GE GTDP250EMWW Dryer directly to 220v when the Manual says that the power/ rating is 110/220v? I already called the distributor but I am still confused with their answer. They told me that it can be plug but I still need to use step down transformer?. Is this true?
If the dryer is electric and bought in the United States then you can plug it in. The 110/220 power rating basically means that some parts if the dryer use 110v. All 220v is is 2 110v independent circuits sharing the same common ground.

Basta ligar em 220v e aterrar num neutro qualquer.

I thinkl you can order the manuals from www.sears.com under the parts tab enter your model # also if it is an electric dry it is 220v with a neutral leg check with the local electrian to see if the power there is phased..Hope this helps
PS::The washer and the refrig will work on the tranformers

The solution is not the thermister it is a board in the console with the transformer on it. That's what my tech says.

Does it get hot when you start the dryer, and never gets hot again when its running? The solenoid wire might be opening due to heat, the solenoid is responsible for opening the gas valve, and booster valve. The wire is located in a round plastic sleeve with two electrical contacts sticking out.
