SOURCE: The scanner will not recognize a bad barcode. the

There are many factors that can make a barcode a "bad" barcode. Moving the barcode closer or farther from the scanner won't solve many of the attributes that make a barcode "bad". It may have a wrong check digit. It may be the wrong type of symbol, or the scanner may not be programmed to see this type of symbol. It may be printed in a color the scanner has difficulty seeing. The substrate or the bars may be too reflective. The scanner may be at the wrong angle (not just distance) from the barcode. Most scanners need to see the barcoce at about 60 degrees--90 degrees is always a problem.

Can you email me a pdf of the barcode? I may be able to identify the problem from that.

"E2" is "Trouble with the optical system (front)."
That doesn't solve your problem, but at least it narrow downs the focus of your problem.

I need a solution to u1 error with detail code o5A in fujitsu fi-5900c scanner

Hello Marcus,
In Fujitsu fi-5900c scanner, Error 05a refers to JAM1 Sensor malfunction. You need to clean the two lenses of the JAM1 sensor with a cotton swab. Then check the performance of the sensor and also check sensor cable connections. This error also occurs if Pinch Roller 2 is installed left-right reversal. Check the same too. If the issue still persists, then you may have to replace the sensor.
If the above steps do not help, then you are recommended to contact the nearest Fujitsu service center for assistance.
Thanks & regads,

Sense key=0x4,asc=0x48,ddes=0x88

Hello Adil,

Does your scanner display H0/H8 alarm?
Does the same symptom occur after turning OFF and ON the scanner?

Does any foreign object get inside the Control PCA? Check the control PCA.
Are the cables between Control PCA and the motor damaged? Or are the
connectors connected correctly? Check throughly.

If the issue is not resolved, then you may have to replace the Control PCA as the motor fuse is located in the control PCA unit. For replacement you are recommended to contact Fujitsu scanner expert.

Thanks,

Fujitsu fi-5750C flatbed will not scan. I keep getting an error "Irregular status is detected in the scanner. Anomaly in Flatbed motor operation. There are some codes: Sense Key = 0x4; ASC=0x580;...

Mine came with the same error message. If you look through the glass into the left front corner, you should see a spring loaded belt tensioner device. It merely hooks into the bottom plate against a spring to keep the belt tight. On my 5750C, the belt tensioner had slipped out of the base during shipping. The hardest part of inserting it back into the base was getting to it. Directions to do that are on this site at .../support/t484836-taking_apart_flatbed.
