Did you try contacting Fujifilm online support? This may be because you have not registered from the new computer to whatever program you are trying to connect. If your problem is about running the software already installed, why not consider using third-part software to download, and edit your photos. picasa for example.

You need to uninstall and then re-install the software, a windows update or an improper shut down of your pc probably damaged part of the software.

When your son uninstalled the program, the drivers for your camera went with it. You could start using a card reader to download your pics...it's much easier and foolproof.

Check to see if the Fuji website has any downloads or updates for your camera.

My computer usually prompts me to uplaod photos when my camera is connected but it isn't doing that anymore. Why won't it upload my photos anymore?

check the memory disc it might be full in which case it is best to save the pics onto your computer and then wipe the disc for room to take more pics.
