Kv-27s20 fuse Is there a fuse in this TV? I am getting no power via either off/on button and the outlet is good. Is this likely to be repairable or should I just go out and buy a big new SONY HDTV?

when you say flickering??? are you saying the screen goes black and comes back on?? does the sound go out at the same time and comes bag on with the pic ? Is the sound there when this happens but is distorted. Is the pic blacked out or is it greying out with lines and twisting?? Need more info please as if its blacking out and the sound goes with it it may be going into shutdown. If the pic is getting kinda greyish with it twisting and the sound is there and ditorted then the tuner could be bad

Undoutably the SMPSU (Switched Mode Power Supply) is faulty.. This will be a shop job... ensure you get a firm "Quote" and explanation B4 allowing it to be fixed.

You need to check the horizontal drive transistor. This circuit provides the high voltage and other voltages needed for the television.

Barry, remove the back cover by removing the screws with an arrow next to them. The fuse is located on the left side as viewed from the back, where the power cord connects to the circuit board.

Hello,

The problem is from the power panel of the television. It got burnt due to the voltage that hit the panel.

Mostly, it's a capacitor that gets burnt on the panel, so what you have to do is, open up the television with the appropriate screwdrivers and locate the power panel, it is attached to the main cord that is connected to the power supply.

Assess the panel, and check for the burnt capacitor that is on the panel, or you can as well replace them power panel.

After doing this, your television will be in good condition once again.
