Question about Acer TravelMate 2303WLCi Notebook
I have an Acer Travelmate 2350 notebook, problems are sound and USB. All drivers are loaded correctly and report no errors, device manager says working properly. Once connecting any USB device, the lights of the device go on but notebook fails to detect. Tried device on different PC and working. With sound all drivers are loaded, it detects that it is using a realtek sound card, the speaker shows at bottom right of screen, yet when trying to adjust volume, the volume control is grey and cannot be adjusted, HELP!!!
Usb ports can be difficult at times, as they get stuck in a cycle from last peripheral connected. The best thing to do is go to right click on My computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager and in the harware list will be your usb controllers. right click on them individually and select uninstal, then restart your notebook and they will re install themselves, that should clear that. Next the sound, if you are unable to change anything, then the driver is more than likely corrupt. Again follow above proceedure and look down list for sound, video & game controllers, click tht'+' to Realtek drivers if thats your sound chip and right click and uninstall. Restart your notebook again and again the sound driver should re install itself. If you still have a driver problem go to acer site as the drivers may need updating. http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/tm_2350.html
