I have tried to format a 4 gig flash card but the machine just freezes during the process. I have tried it with a 4GB Sandisk standard, a 4GB Transcend and a 4GB Lexar. They all have the same problem and I'm very disappointed as I've spent way too much money on these cards to have this sort of a problem. I have also tried formatting them in my computer as stated in the mannual but when i do that the recorder gives the message "card full" when i go to record. Is there a firmware update to solve this problem?

I have found out how to get it. I ask for it through Denon professional website (www.d-mpro.com) and I got an answer with the firmware from somebody from InMusic brands. I now need to find out how to install it.

Same problem here with an ADATA 4 gb card
the pmd670 will not format my new 4 GB card, nor will it recognize the card when formatted on a PC. hence, i can't record anything to my new 4 GB card with my pmd670.
