If we're talking about the microphone cable wiring on a low impedance mic remember this. Cheap mic cables with XLR's on both ends often have no standard color code to follow. True pin 1 is ALWAYS ground (shield wire) but the other two wires could be any color of the rainbow. Look for small numbers beside each pin of the XLR connector and make sure that pin two on one end of your cable, is also pin two on the other end as well....etc. Special note: The XLR connectors set screws have reversed threads and it's the same for the XLR male plug in the bottom of the microphone as well.....Glen

Red goes to centre pin, earth to pin 1, and blue to the remaining pin

Hi, I have a onkyo tx-27 quartz synthesized tuner amplifier and I'm trying to conect it to my tv , so I have the red and white cables and I did the conection with the speakers and there is no sound...

Well, the TX-27 has an onboard FM tuner. Is the amp working for IT? If not, you have an internal problem or a switch out of position. Turn the volume to something reasonable before troubvleshooting.

Conecting Wii to a Phillips lcd tv. rwy cords. but the picture is in black & white ?? i have sound. tried different connections eg: red to green conections & the only one that works is still black...

it sounds like you may be trying to plug a standard composit video cable (yellow) into a component video input (red, green, and blue)
these are actually two different connections. Most LCD tv's will have both options (sometimes there in weird different spots on the tv tho) if you don't have a standard RGB (red, white, and yellow composite video input) then you may need to purchase a component cable either at a local store or you can get one for $5 on Ebay
hope it helps!
~good luck!

Black is obviously ground. red is for switched power (only has power when vehicle is on) single yellow or orange is constant power Dual grey and dual white (solid grey/grey with black) and dual etc. are for speakers. the blue is for accessory power for amps and eq's. on the speaker wires the one with markings is for + and the soild is for -.
