Whirlpool Ultimate Care 2 leak after wash cycle

After a full wash cycle I’m noticing a puddle of water on the left side of my five year old Whirlpool Ultimate Care II. The puddle does not seem to show up until several hours after the wash cycle.

Same problem except the puddle was in the front left. Local repair guy came and said it was a pump and charged me $88 for the pump (not including labor). Did I pay too much and could the pump on a 5 year old machine go bad. Right after it was fixed, my wife started hearing a new noise, the guy came and said it was a broken motor coupling and charged me $51.00 for that part (not including labor). It was not making that noise before he came the first time. Could he have done something that caused the motor coupling to break and did I overpay for that part? Bottom line, did I get ripped off?

Hello, you may have a small drip from the pump or a small drip from the hose that goes from the pump to the rear of the cabinet. To make sure you will have to run the unit with the cabinet removed. A local service tech can remove the cabinet quicklyand isolate the leak.

The washer fills with water but will not complete the cycle. Since it started this, it did finish 2 or 3 loads sporatically, but doesn't seem that it will even do that now.

We had the same problem. Luckily, we bought a 3 yr extended warranty. The appliance tech came in, pulled out a screw driver and tightened the lid. He said the left side frequently comes loose and that is where the sensor is that tells the machine the lid is closed. Tighten up the lid and see if that solves it. This washing machine BLOWS. We have had the warranty people out 4 times since we bought it. It's only two years old. First there was no hot water, the tech opened the machine and the connecter to tell the machine to use hot water was never connected at the factory. Water leaking from the bottom, don't remember what that was. Oil leaking from the bottom, replaced trnsmission seal. Fills with water and stops, loose lid. What a lemon.

Oil and water leak

Chances are they are not related if the water is clean. These units can run quite a while dripping small amounts of oil. The drain hose is a possibility but there are other places it can leak from. Call a local tech he can run the machine with the cabinet removed and should be able to find the source of the water leak. good luck

Washing machine will not cycle

I have a Whirlpool Ultimate Care II. My washing machine would not cycle once it filled with water. I purchased a lid switch from partselect.com. The installation took five minutes. This corrected the problem. I hope this helps.

Cabrio he toploader leaking on towel/sheet cycle only

It is possible that the dispenser is leaking. It is typically the left front dispenser, you may notice a puddle on the left side. ???

Maytag washer

dsands, if the noise is like a train roaring then it could be the bearing. The fact that you have some water leaking leads me to believe that the tub seal leaked onto the bearing. Now this could be covered under the 5 year warranty, depending on the tech that comes out. Another possiblility is that something is caught in the pump and it is leaking. You would have to open the front panel to get a look. On these Maytags if something gets in that pump like a button etc., they will scream like a raped ape. With out being there my gut feeling tells me the seals leaking and ruined the bearing. Catriver.
