2 GB memory card for digital camera

I bought the above memory card for a trip to Europe and was told I could get approx.750 pics ,but when I returned, I only had 130. I don't understand what happened. I changed the battery each day with a freshly charged one and I saw the picture on review each time.

The number of pictures that a memory card will store will depend completely on the file size of each picture. 750 pictures on a 2gb memory card would be around 2.5mb average each picture, which is more than adequate for basic shots - with a higher resolution the picture size can easily exceed this. Here is the link for the user manual for your camera; http://www.kodak.com/global/plugins/acrobat/en/service/manuals/urg00261/DX7440_GLB_en.pdf Check page 20 - explains how to change the picture taking settings including the resolution/ file size. Also check page 53 - it explains the storage capacity of different memory cards at different resolutions. The manual suggests that the camera can only deal with a maximum card size of 512Mb, so it is possible that although a 2Gb card appears to work, the camera can only utilize the first 512Mb of the card. Hope this helps, please ask again if not :)

Is it allows to use 32 gigabites memory card?

I'm surprised the 32GB card is working at all. The Z1000 works with MMC and SD cards, which max out at 2GB. If the 32GB SDHC card is working at all, the camera will treat it as a 2GB SD card, unable to see the rest of the memory.

Apparently, you have pics on the camera's internal memory. Your card won't work until those pics are gone. Here's how...with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, insert your card and it should work.

I bought a canon powershot SD1300 IS camera yesterday. I inserted a 2 GB memory card in to the slot. when i switched on the cam It displays a message no memory card. what should i have to do?

I'm assuming you went through the setup procedures (setting date, time, etc). If you tried to shoot any pics with no card in the camera, you now have pics on the internal memory. You need to get rid of those by going into the menu and finding "format". Then, insert your new card (making sure the slide switch on the side of the card is in the unlocked position) and do the "format" thing again to optimize the new card for the camera.

I just bought two 2g memory cards to find out my C-750 only suports up to 512. I read that Olympus now has a firmware update which will allow for up to 1G memory card, is this true?

Currently, Olympus has released only two updates for this camere model that are Pictbridge Firmware update and USB Auto-connect Driver for Windows 98/SE.
None of the above Firmware updates are meant to extend the memory card usage.
