Question about KitchenAid KSRA22KKSS Side by Side Refrigerator
I had a similar problem with my Maytag Wide-By_Side. When I wheeled it out and searched near the compressor, I could smell a burned electronic smell. It came from a relay called the "relay overload assembly". Besides smelling burnt, when powered up, this relay started clicking on and off every ten or twenty seconds (far too frequently). I ordered the part from the local appliance parts place. The part I took off was an electro-mechanical relay (set of points/click-click switch). The relay I got from parts was a solid-state (all electronic-no points) device. It looked different, but installed with fairly simple directions. Problem fixed. About $25. Shop around internet by model. Look for parts blowup diagram. Good Luck.
