I have a problem which randomly appears. I have an ISDN terminal adapter connected to the serial port. This will work completly fine, then occasionally I get a timeout waiting for DCD, when I monitored the port with a "tap" on the times I get the timeout, it appears nothing comes out of the port. Has anyone else experienced the same or similar, and possible a fix. many thanks rems
This sounds like an IRQ inturrupt issue. Do you have other serial devices on this computer? If so, you might consider removing any other serial devices and see if the problem resolves itself. If it does, you will need to reconfigure one of the devices to another IRQ so that they don't interfere with each other. Dan
