My Sansa has always worked decently. This morning I was listening to the radio, and then turned the player off for about 20 minutes. When I went to turn it on, it just would not turn on. I even put a new battery in it, but no sign of ANY activity. It is really weird. I have been trying every few hours to see if it will turn on or show any activity and it has not. Any suggestions?
My Sansa also failed to turn on. But what happened to me was that I unplugged the USB while it's connecting. After that I cannot sync with my computer anymore, so I tried turning it off and on couple times and at the end the whole thing won't turn on anymore. I talked to the SanDisk tech. You can try what he told me: take out the battery; press and hold the power button for 45 sec (this will drain the power in the capacitor...they call it "soft reset"); then put the battery back in and try to turn on the mp3 player. That didn't work for me. I just bought this a month ago so i guess because of the warranty, they will send me a brand new one. I hope this help.
